Sina Aboutalebi, MD, FAAD

​

Dr. Sina Aboutalebi is a board-certified dermatologist who joined Abilene Dermatology in 2015 and has been a part of our growing team over the past several years. He is board certified by the American Board of Dermatology in Medical Dermatology and Mohs Micrographic Surgery. In addition to medical management of adult skin conditions, he has a special interest in the treatment of skin cancers via Mohs surgery and reconstructive surgery. He performs full body skin examinations and focuses on the treatment of skin cancers such as basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.

 

Dr. Sina is a native of the DFW metroplex and graduated cum laude with a degree in Biology from the University of Dallas. Following college, he worked closely with the community as a high school Biology teacher and volleyball coach at MacArthur High School in Irving, TX. In 2001 he attended medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock, TX where he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated with honors in 2005. Following medical school, he completed an internship in Internal Medicine and residency in Dermatology at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center where he became well-versed in medical and surgical dermatology. He gained extensive exposure to complex surgical cases and Mohs Micrographic Surgery during his training due to the overwhelming number of skin cancers in West Texas, and has continued to serve the patients of West Texas after his training.

 

Dr. Sina is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). He is also a member of other local and national organizations such as the American Society for Mohs Surgery, Texas Dermatologic Society and Texas Medical Association.
