Kleesy Thomas, MD

​

Dr. Kleesy Thomas is board certified in dermatology and Mohs micrographic dermatologic surgery.  She practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology.  She was born in Abilene and raised south of Merkel in Mulberry Canyon. She feels truly blessed to have the opportunity to return to Abilene 

to practice dermatology.

Upon graduation from Merkel High School as valedictorian, Dr. Thomas moved to San Antonio to pursue her college education at the University of Texas 

at San Antonio.  There she graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biology.  She then moved to Lubbock, Texas to attend medical school at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.  She was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and graduated in 2015. 

 

She stayed at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center for her internship in Internal Medicine and was awarded Intern of the Year. She went on to complete her dermatology training at TexasTech University Health Sciences Center, where she served as a chief resident in her final year. Dr. Thomas authored and co-authored numerous articles published in dermatology journals during her training. 

 

Dr. Thomas is a member of The American Academy of Dermatology and Texas Dermatological Society. 

 

She enjoys spending time with her husband, Dr. Joshua Thomas, and their three sons, Leo, Ben and Danny.  She loves outdoor activities, traveling, and cooking.
